The 135 Years of UK Women emphasis is the focus of the latest edition of the UK Alumni Association podcast, From the Blue.
UK Alumni Association Executive Director Jill Smith and Associate Director for Administration and Strategic Initiatives Christina Yue share some of the history of women at the University of Kentucky, starting with the graduation of its first woman, Belle C. Gunn.
“Part of our role at the UK Alumni Association is to serve as the history holders for the university,” Smith said. “This emphasis on the history of women at the university is important for us to share and to celebrate. We hope our alumni will learn something new on this podcast and stay tuned for more conversations throughout the year.”
