The UK Alumni Career Services is hosting a virtual Career Management Week, Oct. 25-28. The sessions are designed for UK alumni and friends looking to proactively manage their careers, seeking professional development opportunities and want to attend a conference but do not have the budget.

Books That Impact Careers
Monday, Oct. 25, 12 – 12:45 p.m. EDT via Zoom Webinar & Facebook Live.
A panel of prominent UK alumni will share their favorite professional development book and how it has influenced their careers and lives. Mary Shelman, 2021-2022 president of the UK Alumni Association and founder of the Shelman Group, will serve as moderator.

Central Kentucky Job Club: Resumes That Rock
Tuesday, Oct. 26, 9 – 10:15 a.m. EDT, Fayette County Extension Office or Zoom webinar
This presentation will help the audience build a solid resume foundation by addressing preferred resume formats and how to target your resume and skills to the specific position. Learn strategies to get through Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and highlight your accomplishments.

CliftonStrengths® Assessment Workshop,
Wednesday, Oct. 27, 2 – 3:30 p.m. EDT via Zoom. Audio capacity required; video capacity preferred. NOTE: The deadline to register for the session is 9 a.m. Monday, Oct. 25.
Discover your greatest talents and maximize your potential by using your CliftonStrengths®. This workshop will help you identify your strengths and learn how to utilize them for career success. Living your best life begins when you tap into your unique talents. Go beyond a foundational awareness of your strengths; identify ways to invest in the development of your talents and apply them in your work and life.
This assessment workshop costs $10 per person. The workshop will be facilitated by an alumni career counselor with a Gallup-Certified Strengths Coach credential.
