UK alumni return, raise more than $178,000 for DanceBlue

It was another successful DanceBlue this past weekend, and we were happy to see so many of our DanceBlue Alumni back on campus to celebrate this year’s event. A group of around 40 alumni returned for events on Saturday, which included a tour of the UK men’s basketball locker rooms at the Joe Craft Center and a tour of the new Bill Gatton Student Center.  On Saturday evening, there was a reception at the King Alumni House before the annual DanceBlue Marathon began.

On Sunday, UK alumni presented their check for $178,488.91 which went toward the fundraising total of $1,880,954.88.

Now in its 14th year, DanceBlue raised more than $15,301,853.23 to help provide financial and emotional support for children and families living with pediatric cancer. All of the money raised by DanceBlue goes to the Golden Matrix Fund and cancer research. DanceBlue focuses on the way that money can be used to support the children and families battling pediatric cancer in the DanceBlue Kentucky Children’s Hospital Hematology/Oncology Clinic.
