UK Homecoming 2018 events announced

A tailgate buffet, Homecoming brunch, a tour of campus and the Class of 1968 Golden Wildcat Reunion highlight the UK Alumni Association events for Homecoming 2018 Rhythm & Blues: Wildcats in Tune.

Here is a partial list of Homecoming events. A full schedule of Homecoming activities can be found at www.ukalumni.net/homecoming.

Sunday, Oct. 14

• Dance Blue 5K, 2 p.m. at Kroger Field, 1540 University Drive. Runners can sign up here.

Monday, Oct. 15

• Homecoming Street Fair, 5-8 p.m. in the Bill Gatton Student Center parking lot, 160 Avenue of Champions.

 Tuesday, Oct. 16

• Kitty Karnival, 5-7 p.m. on the Main Building Front Lawn, 410 Administrative Dr.

Wednesday, Oct. 17

• Royalty Showcase, 7-9 p.m. in the Bill Gatton Student Center Ballroom.
• Black Student Union alumni versus student basketball game, 8:30 p.m. at the Seaton Center Gymnasium, 1210 University Dr.

Thursday, Oct. 18

• Golden Wildcat Reunion registration, noon-5 p.m. at The Campbell House Lexington, 1375 S. Broadway. Go to ukalumni.net/golden to register.
• Golden Wildcat Early Bird Campus Tour, 3-4:30 p.m. leaving from The Campbell House Lexington.
• Golden Wildcat Society Reunion Welcome Reception, 5-7 p.m. at The Campbell House Lexington.
• & Ms. Black UK Pageant, 6:30 p.m. at Memorial Hall, 610 South Limestone St.

Friday, Oct. 19

• Golden Wildcat Reunion Breakfast and Induction Ceremony, 8-10 a.m. in the Woodford Reserve Lounge at Kroger Field.

• Lyman T. Johnson African American Alumni Group Torch of Excellence Awards Dinner, 5:30 p.m. in the Kroger Field Woodford Reserve Club. A full list of events for the Lyman T. Johnson Homecoming Celebration is available at www.ukalumni.net/LTJhomecomingcelebration2018.

Saturday, Oct. 20

• UK Alumni Association Homecoming Brunch, 9:30 a.m. at King Alumni House, 400 Rose St.
• Campus bus tour hosted by the UK Alumni Association, 11 a.m. departs and returns to the King Alumni House.
• UK Alumni Association Homecoming Tailgate Tent Party, 5 p.m. Tobacco Center Research and Development Center Lawn, 1401 University Dr.
• Kentucky vs. Vanderbilt Homecoming football game, 7:30 p.m.

Sunday, Oct. 21

• Golden Wildcat Reunion farewell breakfast, 8-10 a.m. at The Campbell House Lexington.
