Nearly 300 employers from across the country gathered in the Gatton Student Center this week to recruit UK students for internships and full-time employment during a series of career fairs hosted by the James W. Stuckert Career Center.
Caroline Frances and Amanda Schagane of the UK Alumni Association Career Services group and Christy Coffman, coordinator of Wildcat Network, delivered UK swag and pertinent information to attending alumni.
UK alumni said they enjoy returning to campus to help their organizations find the perfect employer.

“It’s important to continue the UK legacy,” said Allison Westcote Caudill ’10 EN, recruiter with HDR, a consulting engineering firm whose table was full of UK alumni. “I enjoy connecting with the next class of students. I try to help them feel at ease when they come talk with us. We’ve met some really great people here.”

As a recent graduate from the Mechanical Engineering program, Chandler Nguyen ’21 said he knows exactly how the students are feeling as they approach the table he represented, Altec Industries.
“I can relate to them and know the nerves they have,” he said. “I engage them in conversation. It’s not just a question-answer thing.”
