At the January meeting of the UK LGBTQ* Alumni Group, also known as PrideCats, the following board members were elected:
President: James Aaron graduated with a bachelor’s degree in communications from UK in 2004 and completed a Master of Health Administration degree in 2010. He works for the university as a project manager for the Center for Clinical & Translational Science for research related to Biomedical Informatics. On the weekends, he enjoys meeting friends in the Lexington area to try new restaurants.
Vice President: Greg Bourke graduated from UK in 1983 with an MBA. He is employed as Health Economist for Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield. In 2013, he was appointed to the Out 100 for advocacy work to reform LGBT discriminatory membership policies for youth and adults in the Boy Scouts of America. He also is author of “Gay, Catholic, and American: My Legal Battle for Marriage Equality and Inclusion.”

Treasurer: JT Hulan graduated from UK in 2000 with a bachelor’s degree in architecture. He is retired from the Air Force, using the GI Bill from his time in the service to complete his degree. He lives in Lexington, specializing in civic, education and equine architecture in private practice. In his spare time, he enjoys freehand drawing, working on classic cars and restoring or building street rods.
Secretary: Michael DeLeon graduated in 1982 with a bachelor’s degree in agriculture. He earned a Master of Arts in Teaching from Bellarmine University. He recently retired from GE Appliances after 33 years of service in information technology. Singing in the resurrection choir of Our Lady of Lourdes in Louisville bring him great joy and comfort. In his spare time, he can be found in his pottery studio or out in the garden.
Past President: Tuesday Meadows graduated from UK in 1977 with a business degree. She worked at Kroger for 40 years, serving most of those years as a store manager. She advocates for LGBTQ equality for several local organizations.
The UK LGBTQ* Alumni Group was founded in 2016 to promote fellowship among UK alumni who identify as part of an LGBTQ* community. The group’s main objectives include fostering a closer relationship between current students and UK alumni, lending support to UK LGBTQ* communities and promoting awareness of the history of LGBTQ* communities at the university.
