New York City UK Alumni Club hosting Champions Classic events

The New York City UK Alumni Club is hosting a series of events beginning this weekend in conjunction with the Champions Classic on Tuesday, Nov. 9.

The club will host a Kentucky Football game watch party at 7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 6 at Jack Demsey’s, 36 West 33rd St. as UK takes on Tennessee.

Sunday, Nov. 7 is the all-day Wildcats Take Manhattan at various locations around the Big Apple. Explore the newest sights and sounds around Manhattan. Take a break on the Little Island or see the skyline in a whole new way at the observation decks at the Edge or the SUMMIT at One Vanderbilt. Window shop on 5th Avenue, then see the lights of Time Square. Check out the NYC UK Alumni Club’s Instagram page for a full list of fun places to explore. Be sure to tag @NYCUKAlumni on Instagram!

On Monday, Nov. 8, take a break from exploring NYC and join the club at Jack Demsey’s for an extended Happy Hour from 4-8 p.m. with other members of the Big Blue Nation.

Tuesday, Nov. 9, begins with a Game Day Happy Hour at 4 p.m. on floors 1, 3 and 4 at Jack Demsey’s to celebrate the start of the 2021-2022 basketball season. Kansas faces Michigan State at 7 p.m., followed by Kentucky against Duke at approximately 9:30 p.m. at Madison Square Garden, 4 Pennsylvania Plaza.

    Started following UK BB before we had a TV on radio circa 1954. In Springfield KY. I had a scholarship else where but son Jim was a “91 grad of UK Now both in Philadelphia area and in NYC, will be third UK vs Duke game attended.
