Wildcat fans heading to Atlanta for the CBS Sports Classic are invited to a pregame gathering hosted by the UK Alumni Association and the Greater Atlanta UK Alumni Club. The event will take place Saturday, Dec. 20, from 9:30 a.m. to noon EST at Margaritaville Restaurant (155 Centennial Olympic Park Dr. NW), located just steps from State Farm Arena.
The celebration sets the stage for a men’s basketball doubleheader with Kentucky taking on St. John’s at 12:30 p.m., followed by North Carolina vs. Ohio State.
The pregame event will feature special guest appearances by former UK players and a silent auction with items including a basketball signed by Mark Pope and allocated Kentucky bourbon. Proceeds from the auction will support the Greater Atlanta UK Alumni Club scholarship fund.
Jack “Goose” Givens will also be available to sign copies of his book, They Call Me Goose. Books are available for pre-purchase at $38 for hardcover and $29 for paperback
The cost to attend the pregame gathering is $30 per person; children 12 and under are admitted free. A full game-day breakfast buffet will be provided along with UK giveaway items while supplies last.
