The UK Alumni Association will host a “Block” Party at the King Alumni House ahead of the Wildcats debut in the 2025 NCAA Women’s Volleyball Tournament.
The open-house-style event is designed to give fans a place to gather before heading to Historic Memorial Coliseum to cheer on the Wildcats.
The free pregame celebration will be held Thursday, Dec. 4, from 4 to 6:30 p.m. EST prior to UK’s first-round match against Wofford at 7 p.m. EST. If the Wildcats advance, a similar pregame event will be held Friday, Dec. 5, at the same time and place.
Fans can enjoy snacks, refreshments and a hot cocoa bar, along with swag and giveaways. Additional activities include music, face painting and photo opportunities with the Wildcat mascot. Other NCAA volleyball tournament games will be streamed during the event.
“Many of our fans park near the King Alumni House and this event gives them a fun, family-friendly place to stop in before heading to the game,” said Jill Smith, vice president for stakeholder engagement and executive director of the UK Alumni Association. “We’re excited to celebrate these incredible student-athletes and host the NCAA Tournament right here in Lexington.”
The King Alumni House is located at 400 Rose Street, just steps from Memorial Coliseum.
