There’s nothing quite like coming home. This October, thousands of alumni returned to the University of Kentucky for Homecoming 2025. The theme, “Once a Wildcat, always a Wildcat,” was reflected in every gathering, every awards presentation and every moment shared between alumni, students and friends.
Everywhere you looked, Wildcat alumni were donning blue and white and enjoying being back on campus, remembering the good times and creating new memories.
Moments That Made It Memorable

Block Party: Homecoming Week kicked off at Alumni Commons with a Block Party open to students, alumni, friends and community members.










Homecoming Royalty Showcase: UK celebrated its 2025 Homecoming Court and newest members of royalty at the Gatton Student Center.














Golden Wildcat Society Induction & Dinner: Alumni from the Class of 1975 and earlier were honored for their lasting connection to UK and inducted into the Golden Wildcat Society. To see a full gallery from the event, click here.

Lyman T. Johnson Awards Luncheon: The annual tradition continued, recognizing alumni and students who embody courage, leadership and service. Read more about the event and view photos from the luncheon here.

Big Blue Day at Keeneland: Blue and white filled the stands at the track, where alumni cheered together for a Kentucky fall favorite. View a gallery of photos from the day here.

Step Show: Fraternities and sororities brought energy and rhythm to the stage during one of Homecoming’s most anticipated traditions — the Step Show!















Homecoming Tailgate & Football Game: Before kickoff against the Texas Longhorns, More than 600 UK fans enjoyed food, giveaways and entertainment from the UK Band and UK Cheerleaders before the Wildcats kicked off against the Texas Longhorns. To see a full gallery, click here.

As the last notes of the fight song echoed through Kroger Field and the final goodbyes were shared, one truth was clear: “Once a Wildcat, always a Wildcat.”
