UK Job Club Releases Fall 2025 Schedule

The University of Kentucky Alumni Association and UK Human Resources STEPS Temporary Employment have announced the fall 2025 Job Club schedule. 

The purpose of Job Club is to provide a positive environment for job seekers to meet, connect, share and learn. Job Club is for motivated professionals currently out of work, underemployed or seeking a career transition. 

Job Club is free and open to the public. Meetings are held via Zoom from 9 to 10 a.m. ET on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month. Recruiters and employers are welcome to attend and may share active job leads with participants in the Zoom chat or in the Job Club Sharing Community group on LinkedIn

In addition to virtual sessions, Job Club will host its “Lunch Bunch” series this fall. These special in-person gatherings are from noon to 1 p.m. ET on Sept. 16, Oct. 21 and Nov. 18 at Puccini’s, 833 Chevy Chase Place in Lexington. Participants can enjoy a free lunch, connect with other job seekers, hear directly from featured employers, and set weekly goals in a supportive environment.

Sept. 9: Smart Job Search Strategies for Success

Sept. 23: 7 Quick Fixes to Take Your Resume from Good to Great

This session will identify the seven specific areas of your resume where fast fixes can make a difference, providing solutions, examples, and before-and-after comparisons to illustrate the strategies. Oct. 14: Master the Interview: Proven Strategies for Career Success

Presented by Laura Johnson, CEO, LLEJ Careers, LLC

Dec. 9: Seven Steps to Age-Proof Your Job Search

If it has been a while since you conducted a job search, things have changed. Although some job seekers have experienced age discrimination, there are things you can do to reduce age discrimination and be more competitive.

Baby Boomers and Gen X cohorts have a lot to offer employers. Don’t put yourself “out to pasture” or fade into retirement too early – the world is awaiting your many contributions to society.
