Alumni Association to host an Evening with UK College of Medicine Dean Chipper 

Join UK Alumni and friends for an evening with Dr. Charles “Chipper” Griffith, Dean of the UK College of Medicine, and Dr. Beth Griffith. Hosted by the Clark County UK Alumni Club, the event will take place on Wednesday, June 26, 2024, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Winchester Country Club, Upstairs at the W, located at 410 Boone Ave., Winchester, KY 40391.

Dr. Griffith, a cherished member of the Clark County community and a pivotal figure in Kentucky’s medical education, will share insights into the recent growth and expansion of the UK College of Medicine. His talk will highlight the establishment of regional medical campuses in Morehead, Northern Kentucky, and Bowling Green, efforts that are aimed at training more physicians and making the dream of becoming a physician a reality for many more students, particularly those from Kentucky.

Joining UK in 1988 for his internal medicine/pediatrics residency, Dr. Griffith has dedicated over 30 years to the university. He has served as a professor, vice dean for education, acting dean, and was named dean of the College of Medicine in July 2023. His contributions have been instrumental in enhancing the health and well-being of Kentuckians and the academic success of thousands of students.
