While the weather did not cooperate as nicely as we wanted, alumni and friends gathered together under the tents on the Blue Courts for a fabulous Homecoming Tailgate & Pep Rally on Saturday, October 14, before the Wildcats took the field against the Missouri Tigers.
Attendees enjoyed a catered meal of brisket and barbecue chicken, along with face painting, yard games and giveaways suitable for the entire family. Thanks to our campus partners — Arts & Sciences, Communication & Information, Dentistry, Engineering, Fine Arts, Lewis Honors, the Martin School, Medicine, Public Health, Singletary Scholars and Social Work — as well as DanceBlue, PrideCats and the Lyman T. Johnson Alumni group, for setting up tables and providing information and giveaways.
Live entertainment was provided by Jackson Alley.
The UK Pep Band, Cheerleaders, Dance Team and Wildcat stopped by for a few minutes to lead the crowd in the UK Fight Song and other chants and cheers before heading to the stadium.
