Now in its 108th year, UK Homecoming is full of opportunities for students, alumni, faculty, staff and the community to continue the tradition of what it means to be a Wildcat. With more than 70 events set for October 8 – 15, there are plenty of festivities planned to ensure your experience is unforgettable. Here are just a few reasons to get excited for Homecoming 2023!

Swag Cab

We will be cruising through campus on a decked-out golf cart all week to provide lucky students a ride to class and a chance to win UK swag if they can correctly answer trivia questions. Special guests will be riding shotgun all week so flag us down for your chance to win!

Block Party @ Alumni Commons

Join us for an old-fashioned block party to get you excited for Homecoming 2023! We will have food, music and games set up on the newly-opened Alumni Commons, located on Rose Street between Columbia and Huguelet avenues. The entire UK and Lexington community is welcome at this family-friendly event.

Lyman T. Johnson Awards Luncheon

The UK Alumni Association’s Lyman T. Johnson Constituency Group, with support from the Office of Institutional Diversity and the Office of the Provost, will continue the tradition of hosting an awards luncheon to honor an African American student and alumni recipient from each nominating college.

Recent Grad Keeneland Tailgate

We’re off to the races as we mix and mingle with classmates on the beautiful grounds of Keeneland Race Course. We will be tailgating on “The Hill” next to the Entertainment Center with tents, tables and chairs. We will also have general admission tickets for those who want to continue the party inside the track to see the races.

Central Bank Thursday Night Live

Join us and VisitLex downtown for Central Bank Thursday Night Live! Join thousands of your closest friends for live music, local food and beverage vendors and the hottest party in town featurings RAGS and RICHES. Dont’ forget to stop by our booth to pick up some Homecoming swag, while supplies last.

NPHC Step Show

Join the UK National Pan-Hellenic Council for one of the most exciting interactive events of the Homecoming season. Watch as NPHC fraternities and sororities battle it out on stage in a series of dance steps set to vibrant music selections.  

Golden Wildcat Weekend

The Class of 1973 will celebrate its 50th reunion with a weekend full of activiites including a tour of campus, racing at Keeneland, a dinner, and plenty of time to reminisce with classmates.

Tailgate and Pep Rally

Get prepared for an evening of football at our Tailgate Tent Party as we enjoy games, entertainment, giveaways, dinner and performances by the UK Cheerleaders and Pep Band.
