The UK Alumni Association hosted Big Blue Santa at the King Alumni House on Saturday, Dec. 14. The annual Legacy Initiative event was canceled in 2020 due to COVID-19, but the tradition returned this year as UK alumni and families celebrated with holiday crafts, festive treats, a gift from Santa’s Workshop, and a chance to meet Big Blue Santa himself.
The Big Blue Santa event is part of the UK Alumni Association’s Legacy Initiative program which is an exclusive Life Member and Active Member benefit designed for the children of UK graduates. Legacy Initiative events provide an opportunity for UK alumni and their families to network while also educating Legacy children about their future at UK. Benefits of the Legacy Initiative program include an annual birthday card, milestone birthday gifts and invitations to exclusive Legacy Initiative events. Once a UK student, Legacy Students are eligible for the Legacy Tuition Program and the UK Alumni Association Scholars Program.
